Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8-Week Course

This Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8-week course teaches the principles developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Research has shown that eight weeks of MBSR training can actually rewire your neural networks and reduce stress to create a healthier, more resilient, productive and peaceful you.

This course’s experiential sessions teach the principles of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) through mixed modalities, including several types of mindfulness meditation, awareness-building activities, group inquiry and discussion, readings, and mindful movement (gentle hatha yoga.)

Over the course of the program, you’ll acquire a toolkit for integrating mindfulness into your daily life in a variety of ways and for becoming a mindful, compassionate leader. You’ll also learn about the neuroscience and scientific evidence behind mindfulness, stress reactivity and stress response cyles. The benefits include:

An intensive, experiential exploration of mindfulness, this MBSR course is especially recommended for those in high-pressure careers, anyone facing a significant life-changing event, care-takers or those struggling with chronic illness, or anyone seeking a more purpose-driven life.

Eight weekly, evening sessions, 2.5 hours each taught in group format; one full-day Saturday retreat; daily homework required. All course materials and supplies provided by Inseus. Led by Ashley Nelson, trained MBSR teacher, certified hatha yoga instructor, founder of Inseus and senior leader at Fossil Group.
