Practical Tools. Effective Leadership. Lasting Impact.
You're making big decisions, navigating complex team dynamics, and operating under constant pressure, often without the training or space to do it well. Conversations don't always land the way you intend. Conflict either lingers or escalates. Stress drives your behavior more than you’d like, and you’re tired.
When The Leadership Experience came to Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects, we met Elaine, a manager who was exceptional at her work but wanted more confidence communicating ideas, navigating challenges strategically, and contributing at a higher level.
“The Leadership Experience gave me the language and confidence to communicate clearly and approach problems more strategically. I now better understand my role within the larger team and the impact I can have." —Elaine, Associate, Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects
Like many high-performing professionals, Elaine didn't need more technical expertise, she needed space to develop how she leads. Through reflection, practice, and meaningful conversations with other leaders, she gained the skills to show up differently in the moments that matter most.

This is a behavior change experience.
You’ll bring real situations you’re facing—the conversation you've been avoiding, the team dynamic you can't seem to fix, the decision you keep deferring. Over two days, you’ll experience live coaching, practice new ways of responding in real time, and leave with skills you've already pressure-tested.
The Leadership Experience is especially impactful for strong managers and leaders who are doing well on paper but want to lead at a higher level, have more impact, and feel more confident navigating all the complexity and change at work today.

What You’ll Walk Away With
This highly interactive, practical experience is built around real world scenarios, candid conversation, and immediate application. You’ll gain skills to effectively navigate uncertainty, change your relationship with stress, and access a new way of being.
Sessions are designed to close the gap between knowing and doing, so you leave ready to integrate new tools into everyday life:
Stop reacting, start leading. Recognize when you're half-listening, jumping to conclusions, or running on autopilot, and shift into focused, intentional leadership.
Say what you mean and mean what you say. Whether you're stepping into a high-stakes presentation, delivering difficult feedback, or finally having the conversation you've been avoiding, develop the mindset and skills to communicate with clarity and confidence so the hard conversations strengthen relationships instead of straining them.
Keep your composure when everyone else is losing theirs. Stay calm, focused, and present under pressure so you can think clearly, make better decisions, and manage your energy without burning out.
Build a team that actually performs. Foster a culture of trust where people communicate openly, take real ownership, and bring problems forward early instead of hiding them until it's too late.
Become a leader people actually want to follow. Show up connected to your team, clear on what matters, and grounded in your own sense of purpose, so that people trust you, rally behind you, and bring their best because of the example you set.
Meet Your Facilitators
Two Decades of Experience. One Shared Commitment.
Ashley Nelson
After over 25 years leading global teams, scaling brands, and building businesses of her own, Ashley Nelson understands the very real challenges leaders face—balancing performance, people, purpose, and personal well-being while navigating constantly evolving demands.
Ashley is the founder of Inseus and a sought-after speaker, coach, advisor, and facilitator helping leaders elevate how they lead and live. Alongside her experience as a senior executive at Fossil Group, where she led global business units and high-performing teams, Ashley also spent a decade building and leading her own entrepreneurial company—a manufacturers’ representative agency with a full-service team spanning account management, merchandising, and sales support. Her experience across both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments allows her to deeply relate to leaders navigating growth, complexity, and change at every level.
An alumna of the University of Michigan, Ashley holds advanced certifications in mindfulness-based stress reduction (UC San Diego School of Medicine), emotional intelligence and applied neuroscience (Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute), as well as DiSC assessments and hatha yoga. She blends science-backed tools with real-world leadership experience to create transformational experiences that strengthen resilience, trust, performance, and human connection.
Ashley’s work is deeply shaped by her own life experiences navigating leadership, entrepreneurship, motherhood, survivorship, and personal transformation. She believes the most impactful leadership begins by going inward to create space to reconnect with what matters most, access awareness, and connect authentically on a human level.
Beyond her professional work, Ashley has long been involved in community and nonprofit leadership, including organizations such as Girls in the Game, the Fossil Foundation, and Chicago Canine Rescue. Outside of work, she loves meaningful conversations, laughter, exploring different cultures, traveling with her husband and daughters, cycling Chicago's lakefront, and rowing alongside fellow breast cancer survivors.
Barbara Boselli
Barbara Boselli founded bnow Consulting on a simple belief: that when people relate to themselves and to life differently, everything changes. The way they lead, the way they communicate, the way they show up for their teams. That belief is not theoretical for her. It came from living it.
After more than 15 years inside Fortune 500 companies, including roles at Google and L'Oréal, Barbara walked away from a successful corporate career to do work that felt more aligned with what she knows to be true: that sustainable high performance starts on the inside. Today she works with corporate professionals through coaching and leadership training programs, helping them build the skills and self-awareness to lead with more confidence, clarity, and impact.
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she brings a natural warmth to every room she facilitates, creating spaces where participants feel safe enough to be honest and challenged enough to grow.
Her work draws from neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness, sitting at the intersection of personal development and real business results. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a CFA designation, and is certified by the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, and holds a PCC certification and a degree in Spiritual Psychology.
She lives in Westport, CT with her husband and her two young boys, who are her whole world and the perfect sandbox for every skill she shares with leaders.
